Embodied Awakening by Amoda Maa

This book just bumped Eckhart Tolle's two books off the top shelf. It is, in my current opinion, the best contemporary book on both Awakening and "What Happens Next." She is a wonderful writer, with a difficult early life that lends credibility. While I do hear shades of Adya, Eckhart, Jac O'Keeffe, Gary Weber, Mooji, and kiki here, it is her discussion of life after the big kensho that is most compelling. She has a brief section on the feminine perspective on awakening that is splendid. But the last third of the book is where she introduces a range of topics rarely heard; sex, money, jobs, full integration into the body, the egoic 'victim,' the folly of "conscious living," diet, addictions, and dying. She is so artful in mentioning these sensitive issues! In general, she encourages us to turn towards and embrace the present moment, and the radiant love there, for guidance in our decisions.

This is an immensely powerful and important book. Buy it immediately - you will not be disappointed. 37 reviews on Amazon - every one is a 5.

Thank you for sharing this book recommendation, i always like to stay informed about interesting helpful books out there.

Can you share a few thoughts or concepts or tidbits from her book, that you found helpful and illuminating. Anything you found helpful about sex, money, and dying i would love to hear.

I do not have money at the moment to buy her book, but will check out some of her youtubes to get a feel for her. Thanks again for sharing about her and her book.

The Youtubes are fine - so is her second interview on batgap.com. But I could not presuppose to speak for her, sorry.

While I do hear shades of Adya, Eckhart, Jac O'Keeffe, Gary Weber, Mooji, and kiki here,
.. the lessons in this article, maybe it's just me, sounds like all of them and more - is it all, has it all become the same thing in different voices, expressed via different experiences?

Hey Smiiley!

Actually she touches on a number of topics other do not. But when she talks about the more common experiences and concepts, her writing is somewhat different and beautifully crafted. Mainly she talks about "what happens next" -- still a pretty new genre.
