You mentioned "craving." You might explore integralrecovery.com. There may be some addictive tendencies in your ego-script. That website has been developed to follow Ken Wilber's "Integral Theory." I'm not an authority on this, but Scott Kiloby (kiloby.com) endorses this program, and there might be a "release mechanism" there for you to get past this little speed bump.
