Forum Name

Post by erict » Sun Oct 28, 2007 9:59 pm

I don't like how redundant it becomes, with these category and forum names.

Spiritual Enlightenment / AwakeningAwakening / Spiritual Enlightenment / Truth-Realization

I want a forum that will be narrowly focused only on this subject. Please someone come up with a nice name for it.

This is exactly what I want to avoid. 99% of what people consider "spiritual" has nothing to do with enlightenment / awakening, and I wanted a forum that is clearly narrowly focused on that and nothing else.

I'm not really sure what you mean by awakening/enlightenment as a forum. Do you mean the actual awakening experience, like the one Eckhart had? Can smaller experiences like seeing through an illusion or transmuting a pattern be included?

At this point, based on what I think you want, I would suggest:

"The End of Illusion" or "The End of Suffering"

Or you could have fun with it and call it "Reflections on Silence" and lock the forum so it's always "silent".

How about "Clarity Works", it can have kind of a dual meaning - noun and verb.
Tools and perspective.

Awakened way
There's no "I" to become enlightened. The "I" can have spiritual experiences.

DON'T resist the RESISTANCE! The resistance is there. Walk into it. Feel it. Become one with it.

And what does enlightenment / awakening mean? Sounds equally if not more vague than "spiritual".

Awakened Living

Post by BillyPLed » Sun Nov 11, 2007 10:35 pm

How about "Awakened Living"? The name of my private therapy practice is "The Center for Awakened Living, LLC" and I came up with the following to define what is meant by "awakened living":
"Awakening" -- Waking up from our beliefs, self-concepts, and stressful stories. Waking up to our original nature, our basic goodness, who we are without our stories.
"Awakened Living" -- Embodying this awareness in compassionate action. Living it out in our day-to-day lives with our families, at work, in our communities.
Instead of "waking up" we are actually "waking down" into life in the marketplace (I love the ox-herding pictures that end with being "in the world, everything just as it is"). Perhaps this forum could be about our experiences with waking up from, waking up to and waking down into life just as it is.
