Spiritual Precipitation

Post by soham » Mon Jan 19, 2009 5:35 pm

It seems a time comes for every body after a certain level of evolution and amount of practices when one starts feeling detached to one's own mind & body so much so that one's centre shifts to inner being of joy to neglect of the outer worldly existence.

As much as this is common, it doesn't have to remain this way. It may be a temporary condition as one regains one's balance as an awakened being. Integration of awakened presence into the adventure of life is also possible. Acceptance of what is does not mean withdrawel, but participation with a greater perspective.

Important choices are made from deep levels, but those levels are determined by our fundamental state of consciousness. My understanding is that Ramana Maharshi had to be brought out from the cave by his friends. If that is so, then his state of bliss was so transcendent that he completely neglected his body. However, ultimately he decided to be present for the rest of the world.

One cannot know the correct path through maya for another jnani. That said, most folks seem to drift back to everyday living, after their shift.

There is not past, no future; everything flows in an eternal present. - James Joyce

Sri Krishna's life was a point in the case. Though a self-realized soul, he used to play with milk-maids and involve in politicking.
