How do I face unpleasant tasks?

For me, I usually procrastinate on something if I have a rigid expectation on how it should turn out (like an essay, for example). Simply put, I focus on the end product over the task at hand in these cases. Sometimes, I have trouble moving past the initial "fear" that springs up when I think about doing it.

If you have any suggestions, it would be helpful.

To..much...future...thinking! The fear is a symptom of this.

Be in the moment with what you do, more so then thinking of the end results. Practice with simple things, like washing your hands, brushing your teeth...breathing!
Take what you like and leave the rest.
