Awake
Re: Awake
I have a hard enough time judging my own personal level of attainment, call it what you will, let alone trying to size up others. But I would say kiki without a doubt; I am also semi-certain about Ananda, but I haven't seen him around for awhile.
By my count that makes one and a half of us who are awake.

Re: Awake
Does the question even make sense? We need to define "awake" first.
Re: Awake
Blender head makes a good point in that the assumptions that underly the question make no sense. But I'll plow ahead into vaguery with little regard for definitions and say that everything is awake and part of what that awakeness allows is dreaming that one is an unawake person. Waking up is less a doing or changing and more a noticing what is already visible.

Re: Awake
You are awake when you enjoy being
And when you do not need thoughts to make you happy.

And when you do not need thoughts to make you happy.
Re: Awake
Wouldn't it be lovely if this was, in fact, awakening: simply enjoying being.Blenderhead wrote:You are awake when you enjoy being
Not some mysterious transformation that one out of a million experience ... and that by "the grace of God."
More like something we all experience, every day, in those moments that we are ... simply enjoying being.

Re: Awake
Maybe this is just a story, an obstacle put there by your mind, so you believe that awakening is impossible.rachMiel wrote:Not some mysterious transformation that one out of a million experience ... and that by "the grace of God."
This thought creates pain and doubt.
Just believe you are already awakened and free. Feel it. Throw away all thoughts that says otherwise.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, Blenderhead*, though it does seem to come quite naturally to me. I'm just saying: Why should I believe one story rather than another?
