The energy of awareness?

I would like to outline what has been happening to me energetically and find out if anyone has had any similar experiences. I've been using this forum to cleanse my spiritual palate, so to speak, in an effort to fully absorb my current lesson of awareness and move on to the new. Sharing like this seems to keep things moving and I'm learning from you all.

My post today is related to energy. I know from previous post that some of this may be unique to my situation, but I'll attempt to outline what has happened to me personally, either to simply share my perspective or learn from your feedback, or both!

ET's books put me in a frame of mind to question my thought processes, then my belief systems, then finally, my emotions. Deep seated emotions which were tied to energies. I believe these would be energetic attachments to my pain body. (I should say pain "bodies", because I was pretty much connected to them all.) Once I got to my emotions, I would have much greater insight and peace if I would visualize them as forms of energy, some of them negative. I'm reluctant to call them negative energies, and I "believe" this is why ET, in his gentle way, refers to them as pain bodies. I call them negative, at the risk of allowing a slice of judgement into my awareness because they bring me pain and suffering.

Over and over again, for the past year, I have felt energy build up in my hands while meditating or being half asleep. Sometimes it would wake me up in the middle of the night. But almost always it would follow the same pattern. The energy would build up and remove heavier energy from my body and leave me lighter and amazed. Almost every day. Sometimes I wonder how much negative energy was in me to begin with! But forty years of being in my head... way in my head... I guess takes a lot of mini-energy sessions.

Now I'm receiving energy directly into my hands and heart and body. The negative energy removal is diminishing. I am beginning to feel the bottom of where the negative energy has been, and the new energy is slowly coming into my body in about the same degree as the negative energy left. So I can only assume that this will be a new daily process. Bringing in the new, to replace the old.

I'm pretty sure that what I'm experiencing is a two year energetic process of what Eckhart Tolle and Byron Katie experienced in an instant. But why? I think I know, but I would like to hear what you think. And to stir the pot a little more... why do I have the ability to remove negative energy from others? Do I start a big line of people and do "negative energy removal", or just enjoy it and share it when and where I can. Like now.

I look forward to hearing every one's thoughts! (I can say that, because they're not my thoughts.)

Norm -

My interests include psychic areas. In his first book "Talking to Heaven" , James Van Praagh notes that when communicating with "the other side" (he is a medium), he picks up negative energy. He visits an "energy cleaner," a person who can strip off negative spiritual energies. You may have that skill - I've discussed this before with you. His website is here: http://vanpraagh.com/

Try to get some feedback from him and perhaps a link to that individual. Considering our earlier chats, I think you have a gift worth exploring and confirming or debunking.

Thanks Andy. I'll try that. The problem is, I'll have to weed through such a maze of information and individuals. Not to mention egos! That's why I've enjoyed this site so much. The grand-standing is kept to a minimum.

Oh well, I can take it. I really do need to speak to people feeling some of the same sensations I am. And obviously the misinformation or bad advice will jump off the screen at me, so it's probably best that I go see what they know.

You're not getting rid of me though!

letigo,

In my experience, also not just that of Tolle but Buddhist Vipassana meditation, energies and tingling sensation, heat or cold or waves of energies moving in the body is not something to dwell on. That's more thinking. Personally, I was caught up on that for a while until my master dispelle the myth of my clinging. I was glad he did...he called playing with energy "parlour tricks" and it is an obstacle to overcome in medition and surrendering to the now.

If consciousness is impersonal and non-dual...what is it with negative and positive energy? Isn't that a judgement?

Who is the you that feels this energy in you?

I came to a realization last night as I was teaching my partner to meditate and watching the Skandha (five agregrates- in Buddhism). When I mediate, when I focus my awareness into the body, it heats up, i feel tingling sensation and energy running around in my body from one place to another. When I focus my awareness into the my mind (hard to explain this one). I see my stream of thoughts, sometimes mental pictures float by one after another, continuing to surrender to it, watching the thoughts come and go, not attached to it, eventually it subsides....then the light happens, as if there is nothing but light. The "me" is no longer a body but the light and a part of that glorious light....but then I watch that too....not attached to it. Then I noticed that I can focus my awareness on the space all around me....(not the sounds...the physical formations), but the space ....an incredible awesomeness happens. I am no longer me......I shiver with goosebumps, being the peace that is and saw deeply that although there is form of a body, there is no "me". Actually, there is nobody "watching anymore" because there is no one or form to watch and watcher that watches the form or object. "We"...(which means you, me, everything that ever existed) is swimming in this great ocean that is awarenesss itself without boundaries. Except we are "not" swimming...but we are it...a part of that great awareness that is inseperable with itself. That great awareness is the space and essence of all forms, it is the forms but not the forms, it is that which lies underneath the form of all things and even the space between all "things" we seen as being separate. It cannot be seen or feel, but very real and very alive. All forms are that but an illusion of separateness. We are all the same....we are all ONE, all that IS is only that...ONENESS which incredibly is NOTHING    Just a lot of empty space with consciousness

The ego, feeling, sensation, body, thoughts, perception and even individual consciousness.....it's all an illusion, there is nothing there, and the one thing that is there forever, IS NOTHING, but it is one HELL OF A NOTHING which makes it SOMETHING. One incredible JOKE of the oneness playing with itself through the illusion.

Nothing ever happens, nothing ever goes anywhere, nothing ever changes, there is no time or even the NOW.

I met this meditator in a local group last week, he said he was meditating to harness the energy of the universe....help other people or himself be healthy. He was pretty scared when he heard my reason for my meditation and surrender is to end suffering. He told me: "Enlightenment is the ultimate sucide."

I am ready to die now!
(sorry...I just can't stop laughing... it's such an incredible joke!)

My sincere suggestion to anyone following the path....make "the end of suffering" your goal and take nothing less before you attain that goal. Dispose the rest, it is soooo not worth it !

There is nobody to save or help, no one to attain anything, nothing ever happens! EVER!
(NOTE: Ignore my post if you have a question about what I said....it's just a babbling mumbo jumbo of a crazy lunatic    )

Thanks moonmissy, I appreciate your babbling! The above quote is my issue. My mind has attached to these energies as, "the gift I'm going to save the world with". I began to realize this yesterday when Andy made me go to James Van Praagh's forum. :P (Just kidding Andy.)

My wife usually catches my attachments and points them out to me. (Usually" is the wrong term.) This time it was my energy building up and vibrating a couple nights ago to the extent that I couldn't even sleep. She couldn't sleep half the night either. She said it felt like little sparks and tiny needle pricks kept her jittery all night. She's very sensitive to energies also. So basically what I was doing was putting my attention on the energy, which made it intensify, which really did nothing accept keep me awake, because I put my attention on it and blocked the flow. She intuitively sensed that I was misinterpreting the energy and trying to manipulate it into what I wanted.

The more I learn, the more I can see the parallels between ET's message of presence and how those principles transfer directly over to the laws governing energy. You absolutely can manipulate them to support your ego. I've seen this with healers and present day shamans. The laws for operating on this plane of existence can be used for our own benifit. But to what end? I would rather find peace!

Nothing I say below is meant to contradict anything in your post. Lila exists, however. And within that playground, maybe Norm has a gift...a gift to use in form. Eckhart does, we know that. And so do you. If his is less conventional than a writing skill, so be it. If it is just an ego-mind trick, fine, let that be discovered also...

I was only introduced to ET about 6 months ago but strange bodily sensations come over me from time to time as I listen to his audio CD's . I feel a shudder and my body quivers for a few brief moments. Mostly in the arms but I feel it throughout my body. The hair on my arms stand up. I usually feel this after having an "Ah Ha" moment and my awareness is lifted while taking in the teaching.

Flowering Concious - Welcome! Sensations during meditation and other "awakening experiences" are normal. The body and mind are linked and stress is released through the nervous system...Pain is pretty uncommon.

Sighclone, Thank you for your response and welcome. It is great to have a place to express externally what is happening internally. Although as I write internally I realize that is not quite right, I guess I should say vertically. Love your posts and appreciate your guidance through the sharing of your realizations. Thank you. En-joy the Journey.
