I discovered this type of relaxation method a couple of weeks ago and while some people might find these videos strange or boring upon first glance, I find them very soothing to listen to and they do calm me down when I am feeling angry or sad or nervous. There are different types of AMSR techniques like a combination of whispering, gentle talking, crinkling sounds, scratching, tapping, package opening and many others. I find that they have a better effect on my mood than guided meditation with music and I suppose that it's because there are less sounds involved and I have to concentrate on listening while the quietness brings peace. It also makes me appreciate the little things in life because I take the time to listen and savour in the noises that are usually ignored.
