For those who may be interested in learning how to meditate on their own without attending a formal zazen or vipassana retreat, I found this video on Youtube. This first one may not be as formal as that of a Zen teacher, but I think is quite good anyway and covers the key elements of good practice. It can be practiced cross-legged on a cushion as shown in this video, or simply by sitting in a comfortable chair with feet flat on the floor if you don’t yet have the flexibility to cross your legs.
