Eckhart was/is social anxious?

liked that clip a lot, v funny. Re the ego, he has said before about making friends with it, not making it into an enemy.

I don't agree with Eckhart Tolle when he says his "nature" is to be introverted.

His conditioning as a child caused him to be introverted, which is the reason he still craves privacy to day. I really believe he still probably carries deep scars of an extremely socially recluse childhood.

He's still a work in progress, regardless of his very deep understanding of Ego tendencies!

Just because he does public speaking roles in his capacity as a celebrity author, is by no means an indication that he's dealt with all his childhood social awkwardness. It may take him a lifetime to re-condition himself to be more socially confident.

This is because exposure is king when it comes to reconditioning emotional memories, your conceptual understanding is naught. If Tolle revisited people who made him socially uncomfortable as a child, he would still experience first fear or startle response. The only difference these days, would be Tolle's ability not to add any 2nd fear to 1st fear during an exposure.
