Yes, beginnersmind, I think this is getting at the unavoidable fact that we don't have control over what has just happened.....and life is just happening. However, we can begin to work forward from the moment to influence the bend of things 'just happening'. The trick is not to be so locked into our goal that we can't adapt to changes that may be even more beneficial to us than what we think we want.....and we're back to being in the moment. Hmmmm.
There is a phrase in cognitive therapy....'you can stand 'awful' long enough to make a good plan.
