Any guided meditations from Eckhart?

Post by steve247 » Mon Sep 24, 2007 6:55 pm

Hi everyone. I'm new here and have just become interested in Eckhart.

I was just wondering whether Eckhart has recorded any guided meditations on his cds? I find it very enjoyable listening to him speak at his retreats and think it would be nice to hear him guide a meditation of the innner body. If not then does anyone know of anyone recording a guided meditation of the inner body?

Thanks.

I know there is one called portals into the now, I used to have it on my pc, but I reformatted it awhile back. Have a look on limewire.

Yes, I too would like to know, if Tolles done a meditation CD.

I have the "Practicing the power of now", but it's not a meditation CD,
just one of Tolles "lectures" or audio book.

Isn't it sort of a meditation? Is it the one where he's ringing the bell? Or am I thinking of something different?

Well, I think that all of Tolles stuff is like meditation guides, it's always so peacefull to listen to him. Practicing the power of now isn't a meditation guide per se, but can certainly be usead as such.

And he does ring the bell in this one.

Thanks.

When he talks about the inner body in practicing the power of now it's not really a meditation, it's just him reading the book. The only meditation i've found so far is in realizing the power of now. it's very good, and i agree that it's very meditative to listen to him when talking freely, and i can meditate on my inner body while listening to a retreat like realizing the power of now. i was just wondering if there is a meditation in one of his retreats specifically on the inner body and i'd buy it.

i have found this

http://www.accessingtheinnerbody.com/sample_order.htm

which may be good but it's not him. i may get it.

Hello Steve.

I havent bought any of ETs stuff, but try this...Et mentions this in one of his books and I find it the best form of meditation.

sit or lie down alone, anywhere comfy, start with feeling the hands and feets aliveness, work your way towards your inner body, feel but dont label(try not to visualize). If your focused enough and fairly relaxed and peacful, you will automatically generate a warm euphoria (a complete feeling of being where you feel nothing is missing) the deeper you go the more warmer and vibrating you will get.

Is there anything that ET does that isnt a guided meditation?
If you stop believing in fear, is it still scary?

Very true. I've lied down and listened to him give a talk (realizing the power of now) and it's proven very meditative. I like the humour that comes across too.
