Do you ever feel like your body and mind are separate?

Sometimes, particularly when waking up or going to sleep, I feel like my mind restfully wants to keep going and going, but my body wants to just stop. It's a strange sensation that maybe you're familiar with. My body seems to say, "I don't want to move at all. I've worked so hard. I must remain still."

My experience has been that when my body won't move or stops me from doing this or that, it's much more connected to Source than my mind and I trust these nudges as much as humanly possible. The body seems to be a more universally connected form. You don't have to read much Deepak Chopra to find out how infinitely connected we are on microscopic levels with each other and the universe through our bodies.

With regard to your awareness of them being separate just before or after sleeping, this is the time I recognize as my closest to reality. This is a really natural gap for me to get information or energy or just a glimpse of what's real.

Body/Mind/Spirit are separate but at the same time one consciousness. Your experience might allow you to become more aware of and more sensitive to your body and it's place in the trinity.

Sincerely, Norm

Thanks.

I had a bit of insight this morning too. Often when I "feel my inner body" that's all fine and dandy. I can feel it as a whole, or I can focus on specific parts. Then it dawned on me that maybe I could go into the feelings associated with thinking. So, instead of say, thinking about a bunch of things, and focussing on my gut, I could be aware of those gut feelings but try to really get into the more subtle feelings that are my thoughts. In a way, everything that happens in this realm is physical, but usually we think of our thoughts as being "mental", somewhat not physical, like how I was saying that in the morning or night there's this sense of "my body" and "my mind". Maybe if I just focus on the physicality of my thoughts... You know what I mean?

Anyway, peace to y'all.

Funny, I have been focusing on the opposite perspective: the mentality of my physicality. Physicality being a range of (less conscious) thought (belief) that has been, or can be, dwelt on and in.
