Not looking forward to something

Postby dillpickle » Sun Jul 02, 2017 2:52 am

Hello everyone! New here, and excited to dive in.

My whole life I would become depressed or saddened when something fun came to an end, or if an event was coming up that I really was not looking forward to. It's like I hold on to the minutes and hours during the fun events, and they slide by so fast. Then when the events I'm not looking forward to come, it seems like a minute turns into an hour.

Are there any tools/videos I can study to help with this?

Thanks

Have you read the power of "Now"?
Take what you like and leave the rest.

Yes! Gobs. I'd recommend sampling a buncha different teachers (videos) and sticking with one you feel an affinity with. Some candidates:

Eckhart Tolle
Mooji
Adyashanti
Rupert Spira
Pema Chodron
Krishnamurti
Dalai Lama

Chances are you'll connect with at least one of these guys ... at which point you can dive in. :-)
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily ...
