What are the 10 (or less) books that have had the strongest/deepest influence on your journey?
Here are mine:
1. Conversations with God trilogy - Neale Donald Walsch
When I was about 16 years old, these books offered an entirely new way of looking at life. A way that resonated so deeply. I couldn't possibly describe how much these writings have shaped the person that I am today.
2. The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle
I suppose the forum and website I've created says quite a bit about how influential Eckhart Tolle has been in my life. To me this book is a true work of divine inspiration. Nothing else that came out after it has such wisdom, insight, power and clarity.
3. Spiritual Enlightenment:The Damnedest Thing - Jed McKenna
I suppose this is the next logical step. To be honest, I had listened to the audio version and only bought the book afterwards, but Jed McKenna totally blew me away. Before McKenna, I actually believed that what I need is to improve myself, become a better, more spiritual person... and maybe then... I will find salvation from this dysfunctional way of being. But none of that has anything to do with truth and enlightenment. I now realize that awakening isn't what I'm truly interested in, but at least I know where I stand.
4. Adyashanti - Emptiness Dancing
Ok, this is not true at all. The book itself has never impressed me much. But listening to Adya talk... Especially these days, I totally immerse myself in his talks. I don't even know what to say about him, except maybe how grateful I am to have found this teacher.
