I am one with all

Post by cowcool » Tue May 06, 2008 6:07 pm

"I am one with all existences and creations" - oneness, we are all one .

To me , "we are all one" concept is still a form of indentity, isn't it?

The difference is , it is now WE and not I . to me both "We and I" are still identity

COmments please

In "oneness" there is no we and no I. In oneness there is no identification with anything; there is realization that all simply is, and that realization happens to "no one".

You are correct in stating that "we are all one" is a concept, and to identify with it only creates a different type of conceptual perspective if grasped solely in the mind. But "we are all one" is also a pointer, and therein lies it's true value. There's not much point in trying to understand this, it would only be a mental understanding anyway. Rather act upon the pointers to return to the silence of clear awareness, and see life free of all concepts and discriptions.

Cowcool,

I would say that until one is able to be at peace, it is all a concept.

When you experience beauty, peace, bliss that cannot be touched by understanding and thinking, then you will no longer need explanations.

The key is to experience it, not think about it.

Until you can suspend thinking, it is best to respect certain thoughts and ideas (such as "We are all One") and treat them as valid representations of truth. Once you are established in the NOW, then of course these thoughts and ideas are no longer necessary.

I'm at the level of trying to understand and revel in the reality. It will be some time before no thinking is what I am.

Who is one with all?

Oneness is the seeing that there has never been anything else than "all is one". There are no persons, nowhere and never. There are obviously many body-minds, experiencing a lot of "me"-thoughts, but show me the persons!

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with thinking about that stuff. Ramana Maharashi said: "You have a thorn in your finger. S o you get one more thorn out of the tree to pull the other one out. Then you throw them both away."
I'm not talking about accepting any mental concept (for example, "all is one") but about investigating the reality of "yourself" as a person. You will see that, looking at consciousness, you will find a body, a lot of thoughts, but no person
Have you ever experienced a thought really without any time? Have you ever found whom they are talking to? Find out for yourself, no one else's understanding will show you.
