A beautiful chant to listen to and open your heart, from the Sikh tradition:

This one is truly a masterpiece. One of my most wonderful songs I've ever heard.

Two more Secret Garden songs. They are so beautiful like if they were composed and played by angels!

Finnish band called Pariisin kevät has some quite enlightened lyrics.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP6Wi4K60hI
It's in finnish language, but here's this one example translated in to english:

"I sat in the dark
a moment started and it felt like it would never end
silence came to me for a while
like a being and yelled
don't be afraid of the world
we sat together for a while
and the universe looked down to us.
...

I'm sitting in the dark
still waiting for a moment
that never ends
a silence would come
telling me
how in the end everything disappears
I see lights in the sky
and chills run down my back"...

And here one song that really resonates with me:
Dreamcather, seventh heaven

Not really sure if this is music from "the other side", but I feel these are songs appropriate to the the forum and have deeper wisdom than people realize.

So, songs about surrendering to what is, living in the now and songs that truly bring happiness to my life.

Thanks for the links, Seeker1977! I've never heard of Secret Garden. I especially love Once in a Red Moon! Gorgeous, haunting melody, and the orchestral arrangement is beautiful. Nice how there's the simple acoustic guitar & clarinet at first, & then that amazing string arrangement takes over. I just don't like those hoky pictures, so I shrank the screen & closed my eyes. No images are required. Just listening...over & over! Love it.

I have been listening to the Thomas Bergersen album "Illusions" on my ipod for the past month and I find if I play at high volume and die into the music I achieve altered states, probably the nearest I will get to enlightenment for a while :D

Not to everyone's taste, some of it reminds me of "Orff's" "Carmina Burana" but worth a listen, especially on headphones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwDZe7zX ... 3A7FC22C80 "Promise" simply beautiful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHsc3XmA ... 322275F39B "Remember Me" very moving

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNOpKwnA ... 322275F39B "Aura"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suUtJxccoaU "Femme Fatale"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iHmWdbKp1w "A Place in Heaven"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RVIgZRRlmk "Homecoming"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbdTeKo14Jw "Hurt"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHDQAHOA ... 3A7FC22C80 "Reborn"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgOoB4BeNso "The Gift of Life" it seems to have a certain yearning quality

I am listening to the Thomas Bergersen album "Illusions" ---

Ah yes, this is It! The Powerful Thunder of My Heart! I can see My High Cliffs standing far across the deep dark ocean as they gleam in the sunlight to call me Home from across the wild stormy sea--- Well, I'm in heaven, thanks for the lovely splendor you shared here---

Can't stop listening -This is Perfect. Thank you.
You are not finished, until you play in that meadow and live there. You can, you know. But only you can take yourself there.
