Finding it hard to seperate the man from the message

Post by Heisenberg » Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:06 pm

Every time I try to practice presence, I almost immediately hear Tolle's voice, quoting wise things, thinking of the pointers he gives.
While this isn't necessarily bad, it's still mind activity and not space and stillness.

Does anyone have tips for this?

You are the awareness that is aware of Tolle's voice. Neither cling to or reject the voice, just observe. What you are observing is form, you are the observer. How wonderful it is for this to be a support for awareness. Like all other form it will pass on through, the impermanent phenomena that it is. What is unchanging, deep, and stable is awareness. That is all.
